The prevailing SW wind is side-onshore for a port-tack launch. The wind is clean with a clear fetch up Lake Erie. For the adventurous, the Canadian shore is about 10 miles away on a reach. There is a very small sandy launch area reached by walking down a bit of rip-rap. Launch on the south side of the launch to avoid underwater rocks.parking permits are needed buy at fitness center.they give tickets.stay out of swimming area by all means.

From Route I-90 take Exit 55 (Ridge Road). Follow to end at the steel plant and turn left, heading SW on Route 5. Continue on Roue 5 past the Ford Plant and look for Bedrock and Hoak's along the water. Turn right at the intersection and there is parking for about four cars, or go through the light and turn into the Hoak's Restaurant parking lot. The Hoak's lot can get quite full, so please be considerate of the restaurant patrons' parking needs

Sensor Notes
The sensor is located on the Bedrock Eatery next to Hoak's Restaurant. This meter has a great fetch for both sideshore and onshore winds.
