Livermore Overview
Lake Del Valle in Livermore is a great spot to learn windsurfing, and a great spot for longboarding in general. This Livermore sensor (in town) can be used as a rough tool to help guess what the wind might be doing up at the lake. Suggestion - keep track of what wind readings (speed and direction) you associate with having a good time sailing at the lake.
Directions to Lake Del Valle - 580 Freeway. Exit on North Livermore. Take a Right. Street becomes South Livermore Avenue. Keep going south; keep going generally straight ahead. Road turns into Tesla and will wind through wine country. Go Right on Mines which turns into Del Valle Road. Parking at the kiosk is generally $5. Make a right turn. Go into the parking lot and park toward the end of the lot which should place you reasonably close to the water.
