Coronado Islands or Los Coronados (ko-ro-NAH-do), small archipelago (3 sq mi/7.8 sq km), off Pacific coast of Lower California, NW Mexico, 20 mi/32 km SSW of San Diego, Calif.; 2 mi/3.2 km long and 1/2 mi/4/5 km wide; 23°32'N 18°08'W. Four barren rocks, rising to 672 ft/205 m. Guano deposits. Known for deep-sea fishing.
