The Cabaret bay consist of 3 main areas for kite, and one of them is formally located out of the main bay, but is continuous from the main bay (to the west) only separated for the rocks and reef at ‘Punta Goleta’ this is known as ‘Kitebeach’ and the main bay have 2 areas: the west is call ‘Bozo beach’ and the east part if known as ‘Cabarete’. Also abut 3 miles to the west is ‘Playa Encuentro’ and is the main spot for waves.
From east to west (downwind) we have first ‘La puntilla’ this is the most east part of the bay and have some shallow reefs and not good waves, them is the ‘Cabarete’ area and the wind here sometimes get blocked by the east part of the bay but that depends on the exactly wind direction and how far from the shore you are, this part is most used for windsurfing.
Then to the west is the left part of the bay called ‘Bozo’ here is the main area for kite and windsurfing and here is the PKRA main event competition run. Bozo have a good reef and waves but is about 800 feet from shore.
And finally passing ‘Punta Goleta’ is kite beach here you main find only kite surfer and the main school area, the reef for that beach is about 300 feet from shore and have some good waves.
