Lake Perris Overview
Lake Perris generally has light wind with predictable afternoon summer thermal winds 10 - 15kt range. When the Santa Ana winds hit this the lake will see much stronger winds. In thermal winds it it a good place for Beginner to Intermediates.
The lake is a bit mucky most of the time. The beach launch has some rocks. The best season is in fall during Santa Ana conditions.
The water temperature in thet summer is 75 - 80 degrees. While winter temperatures range from 60 -65 spring. The average sail size is 6.5+. No wetsuit is needed in the summer but a 3.2mm is required in winter
Great for camping and recreational place. Parking is $5 a day
Kitesurfing is NOT permitted at Lake Perris.
