This state of the art WeatherFlow sensor features a remotely positioned instrument package which is located approx. 1/3rd of a mile offshore in the Bay. Anchored firmly to a channel marker near the entrance to Brisbane Harbor, this sensor will give users a good feel for conditions out on the water. Due to the predominantly offshore nature of winds and the complex local topography, speeds and directions on the water are often radically different than observed onshore. Readings from this site may be useful at Candlestick and Oyster Point as well but remember that windspeeds will change radically over short distances. Local Expert? edit Edit this Page!
