Data from this station is courtesy of the National Weather Service (NWS). NOAA sensor. This sensor is located at road level mid span. Using this sensor is tricky since it can have reports either higher of lower than found on the water. If there is no fog the wind report will be higher than the actual wind on the water below the bridge. If there is fog then the wind report is often lighter than on the water. On foggy days this sensor along with the iwindsurf.com Crissy sensor and the Angel Island sensor give you an idea of what to expect later in the day in the waters off Crissy.
