Marsh Creek offers conditions similar to those on northern Chesapeake Bay. Because Marsh Creek does not experience sea breezes, the strongest winds only occur immediately before and after cold front passages. On average, northwest and south winds are the directions that blow the strongest at Marsh Creek. Since the sailing beach faces the northwest, this is the preferred wind direction.

When you want to bring the family along and get in a sail as well, Marsh Creek is the place. Marsh Creek is more family oriented that other beaches or parks. There's a swimming pool for the kids, as well as restrooms and a concession stand. So you can take advantage of the grass rigging area and sneek in some sailing time knowing all the while that kids will find ample to keep them amused in your absence. Questions? Call the guys at Marsh Creek Sailboards.
