Chatham-Harding Overview
The Hardings Beach launch is a nice, wide sandy beach and water conditions are rarely more than swell and chop. However, when it is blowing 25+ the place can get narly, especially at high tide. Getting your rig out of the water when it is blowing 25+ at high tide is challenging. There is a fishing weir just to the east of this beach, between the main beach and the lighthouse. Windsurfers/kiters can not get by this weir unless they go way off shore or very close to shore.
One note about this anemometer...it is located at the way eastern side of Hardings Beach, near the Stage Harbor entrance. Since it is way east of the parking lot/launch, it reads approximately 5 mph higher than the actual windspeed at the Hardings Beach launch spot when blowing from a southerly direction due to local phenomenon (Monomoy Island). So, this should be taken into consideration before making the long drive to Chatham.

Sensor Notes
The sensor is at Hardings Beach Southerly reads are true, while offshore (northerly) readings are blocked. Use Chapin Beach for extrapolating northerlies at Wellfleet, Pleasant Bay, etc.
